Aah, yes, everyone loves a good origin story!

As writers, we can't (don't want) to simply present a webpage with a bunch of pictures and names. Rather, we would like to introduce you to our team by providing a bit of information about our origin in an imaginative way. So, read on, if you dare.

We will begin with our founder's humble, King Arthurian-like origin. An origin that tells the tale of a child who, despite the odds, draws a pen from a stone, to later defeat many foes, proving that the pen is indeed mightier than the sword. Along the way, the pen-wielding traveler would assemble a team of impassioned writers who each had their own unique stories of the power of the pen.

Yes, we would love to tell such a tale, and so we did, but now we would like to leave the fiction section and guide you to another genre.

 This somehow conjures up images of an employee (nay, an enthusiastic bibliophile named Sidney) guiding you through a bookstore, quickly walking ahead of you. At some point Sidney turns the corner at the end of a bookshelf; for a moment you fear that you may be lost, but then you pick up the pace (you're practically jogging), and when you get to the end of that bookshelf, you see the ends of Sidney's hair whipping around yet another corner. The quest is on! The next thing you know you're leaping over a group of small children on a colorful rug enjoying story time. You land in that kind of superhero way (they're impressed) and then look up to see that Sidney is nearly at the top of a flight of stairs. You realize that you've come too far to turn back now! So, you scale the stairs, not step by step, but two steps at a time. You're gaining on Sidney when suddenly the marathon ends. You (panting and holding the side of your abdomen) see that Sidney is pointing to a sign — Biographies.
