Cooking

Slice, chop, and write your way to a new cookbook!

With basting brush in hand, a master of the pit adorns perfectly smoked brisket with a barbeque sauce that is the envy of the condiments that line the shelf on the refrigerator door, when suddenly he or she stops to listen to the sizzle emanating from a wok that flips an Asian fusion in a colorful display. It is precisely at this moment the oven opens, and mitted hands clasp the sides of a baking dish that serves as the warm home for a carrot cake that awaits its frosting companion.

Whichever of those three culinary enthusiasts you relate to (perhaps all of them), our class is designed to transform your recipes, anecdotes, and passion for cooking into a cookbook that is sure (maybe) to excite the senses of the readers who implement its contents.

About Our Teachers

It all begins with the teacher, but not just any teacher, a writing enthusiast, a logophile, a bibliophile, a... very passionate instructor!

Each Birch & Ink faculty member has been thoroughly vetted to ensure that he or she has the proper skill set and background to teach one or more of our classes.

Our teachers range from English Literature professors to published authors, each one having a unique talent that is thoughtfully paired with a class that allows that talent to shine and the students within it to thrive.
